IT MANAGER
At ASI, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage our group’s technology infrastructure, lead the desktop administration team, manage technical projects and ensure that all systems and applications operate efficiently, securely and in alignment with business objectives. REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a management role
- Proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructures and operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver IT projects, including infrastructure rollouts and system upgrades
- Experience with network solutions, including voice and data management (such as VOIP, managed switches and hosted applications)
- Experience in domain name management and hosted application management
- Proficiency in data loss prevention technologies and backup solutions
- Familiarity with cross-platform enterprise systems and performance measurement tools
- Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous but not required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the execution of the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with group governance, policies and procedures
- Lead large-scale IT projects, including the design, deployment and integration of new IT systems and services
- Oversee the implementation of digital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and meet business requirements
- Monitor and analyse the performance of IT systems to identify areas for cost optimisation and productivity improvement
- Ensure all business systems are supported with the correct technical infrastructure, including databases, backups, security and performance monitoring
- Ensure all systems, configurations, operating procedures and internal IT policies are thoroughly documented and implemented
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the group to assess business requirements and develop IT solutions that meet their needs
- Manage vendor relationships, assessing the effectiveness of hardware and software solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to ensure minimal downtime
- Manage IT asset lifecycle, ensuring proper deployment, monitoring and maintenance
- Provide recommendations for IT budget planning, including operational and infrastructure requirements
- Identify and address ICT skill gaps within the team and recommend training programs to support professional development
- Implement the group’s IT data strategy, ensuring optimal use of data across the business
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and policies, including regular assessments and renewal of security protocols
- Manage Office 365 and Azure tenant administration, migrations and any required integrations
- Oversee information security governance, including user account management, network security, vulnerability assessments and data encryption
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring risk assessments, business impact analysis and regular testing of backup and recovery systems.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong technical expertise in operating systems, servers, hardware, protocols and applications
- Advanced knowledge of ticket tracking systems
- Expertise in security, network and systems administration, database management and telephony systems
- Solid understanding of cloud computing (Azure experience preferred) and virtualization technologies
- Strong project management skills with experience in AGILE methodology (preferred)
- Vendor relationship management and procurement experience
- Proficient in change management processes and strategies.
